Anybody having problems getting on BB I get an office supply place everytime I try

Yes, I am getting the same crazy office supply site no matter what I try.
I first tried about 3 hours ago. I guess I'm relieved it's not just me.

Me too. Apparently the powers that be ain't aware of it. I called JD and he assured me it's fine, at least from his computer. I spent the afternoon using spyware and adware. Kinda of a good thang, but now I see it ain't just me.

I received your email. All of the links embedded in the email you sent me take you to "file not found" pages. But they do go to the Binder Bulletin.

I have tried logging off, logging on, and trying from several machines. All of them take me back to the Binder Bulletin... and not an office supply site. I have informed our site maintenance to look into the problem you are all reporting, but I have also noticed that some of the folks posting in this thread have been posting on the BB since they posted here.

I got your second phone call as well, and re-checked the board. I get the real Binder Bulletin no matter what "I" do.

I can't rectify an issue if I don't see one at my end. But I have reported it, and we will see what comes up.

Not sure why you and a few others were getting some weird office supply site, but it is the internet... and weird things happen all the time on the internet.

If there is something to report, I will report it here, as well as on the BB if we find anything.

It could be that some of you are running some sort of software that has been corrupted, also. But I don't know where to begin with that, other than possibly start turning things off that run in the background when you are on the web till you get the real Binder Bulletin back?

Just a thought.

Worked fine this am and quit just before I pm'ed JD from this site, still has the office supply and I am on a new computer which I put online this am so not corrupted.

It is not working for me either JD. All I get is what the others have been saying. It looks like your standard site that comes up when you fail to renew your domain name.

The BB simply times out for me, this has to be a server issue, cant be this many isolated issues.

Still the same thing here, I saw this same image earlier today, it was unrelated to the BB, it wasn't for office supplies, but it was exactly the same otherwise, it also stated that this "domain name may be available"?

I tried going in to the BB thrue links in Emails regarding PM's, and they timed out!, I get the site referred to above weather I go straight for the home page or the forums page!

I'm seeing the same thing. If this is a DNS problem, some might people have the real IP cached from before (so they can see the site) and others are resolving to this "placeholder" site.

It's also possible that this is not DNS related and the hosting site is messing up somehow. Who is hosting binderbulletin.org? For those of you for which the site is working, what IP do you get for binderbulletin.org? Right now, for me the IP is 75.126.159.250 and dnspark is the nameserver authority.

As of 11:15 pm pacific time I'm still getting the crap!, my girl friend was able to get on to the BB via Google, I was not able to access it via Google from there nor any where!
(I'm having withdrawal symptoms!!)

When I use my favorites button I come up with the Binder Babe.

When I tried going through Google I got a page that said the server was too busy.

I just checked the Binder Bulletin. It is still there, and there are people on it, and people posting.

It isn't the Binder Bulletin causing this issue you all are having it is something else. It is either a node or some sort of routing problem from what I can tell. I cannot reproduce this error that is being reported by all of you, but I don't discount it, so don't get that impression.

I have gone all over town trying different computers, and all I get is the real BB.

I have accessed the BB via my own machines, and others. All I can say is the best thing that can be done right now for those of you having this issue is to clear your HOSTS file of any Binder Bulletin related addresses that might be in there, and try again.

I have called collidingstar about this issue, as they are the hosting ISP.

They have not returned my call, and I suspect that the reason lies with it being a holiday weekend.

I have done all I can do, gentlemen. This issue resides beyond my realm to fix. All I can do is offer suggestions of what MIGHT be the problem, since it isn't the BB site. It is up and running.

The BB's registration as a domain name for us is good till 2010.

It is most certainly not "available".

Bill Thebert is aware of the issue, we are both trying to talk to the hosting site about it, but they appear to be "out for the weekend".

This is some sort of malicious attack to coin a phrase from MicroSoft.

We will get it sorted out.

This is wierd. After my post to this thread yesterday, I was then able to get onto the BB in the same manner as I always do. I looked around for a bit and even posted a thread in the feedback forum regarding this issue. Then I left for awhile. Tried to get back on the BB a little later and it was back to the blonde huckstress. Now I'm using my mom's pc and I see the same Sheila. JD may be onto something. I'll see if his suggestion helps the issue.
