  • Suggestions for material to use for building a headliner?

My headliner fell down about 6 years ago. The Scout gets pretty loud after a while, and since I am hoping to move 1000+ miles away in the near future, I thought a good step towards "sound-proofing" would be making a new headliner.

I am on a budget, and so would appreciate any suggestions on what to use.

    Thank you,;)

    headliner

Home depot for wall board for the hard backing then Jo-Ann fabrics for the headliner material. you can use the foam backed velour or the vinyl.
use a real good adhesive like 3m 77 or equivalent.

you aren't near fallon are you?

      Thank you for the ideas.

No, I don't live near Fallon, anymore. I lived near there a few years ago though. Too many people were getting sick over there.

p.s. what about insulation, (noise deadening), would fiberglass with the paper removed work, or would that just gather moisture?
