  • will my 304 be sufficient

    buying a 75 scout with 3" body lift, 4" springs, SOA, with f+r Dana 60's, F+R ARB's, 5.13's and a 304.....will this 304 be alright with this gear ratio or should I put a 392 in it....thanx...matt

    WHAT?????

You have 13 inches of combined lift on a scout?

    That's a lot of height.
I'm running SOA with 1 1/2 body and 35's and I think I"m getting too tall for the trail now!

With 5.13's I would think the 304 is fine but more cubes is always better!
what tires and tranny? dana 300?
I would keep it close to stock(mild cam, FI) and let the low end torque work for you.
    just my .02

you need to post a pic of that beast!

if the 392 is a runner than I would say yes. if it has been outside in the rain and is locked up..no way.

Had the 205 in my f150. great TC but not a real good low IIRC. sort of like the dana 20.

The ssII parts should fit any scout II.

My handy chart shows you to be within range on your gear ratio. But, with the extra weight of that big a tire and wheel combo, I'd have to agree with Bill, go for the cubes.

i think that if Jesus were a scout 2 he would look something like that. i hope mine turns out that good lookin. i've got a 75 xlc with a 392 t19 and d300 with 44s so we'll see.
