  • Water Tubes

I would like to know if someone knows were I can get new water tubes for my 345. I have checked everywere under the sun and every set I have found is rusted out and I don't want to install junk even if it does work for awhile I want it dependable and with the end rusted it is not dependable in my books. If someone has a good set let me know what they need out of them and were they are located.

    Tubes

I am also looking for the elusive tubes with o-rings for both ends. Please give me a holler if you find them!

I bought mine new from Super Scout Specialists .

You can even make out the part # on the tag in the picture, so if that's the side you need, you have everything you need to order one.

I had a little oopsie, though.. I ordered tubes for a 392IC.. receipt for 392IC tubes.. tubes were for one side of a non-IC. d'oh.

"Fortunately" I have a bunch of non-IC engines, too..

                Question regarding tubes

Can someone please tell me what V-8 engines take the same tubes. I always assumed that the tubes were the same for 266, 304, 345, and non IC 392.....and that the IC 392 was all by itself. Is this correct.

Also, I couldn't find a price on the Super Scout Specialists website. What is the going rate for a pair of new tubes and/or used tubes?

                Thanks,

They are different from L-R. I have two of the same part numbers.. something got mixed up on my order.

Those tubes will work on a pre-IC 345/392.

I believe the same parts work on 266-304-345-non-IC392s. They just go into the waterpump farther on the 266/304 series engines.

The IC392 tubes are unique to the IC392 (and IC196)

                        IC?

what does IC mean and whats the difference between IC392 and non? The 392 I put in my tow was from a 1600 and looked identical to the 345 I took out.

                          Improved Cooling.

IH changed the way coolant flows through the block and heads.

Big tell tale sign is an IC392 has the water tubes going out of the water pump and back into the block, not the heads.
