  • 72 Scout II

I have a 72 scout II that is getting a large suspension lift. 4" leafs, reverse 2" shackle lift, SOA conversion, and 37" tires. My question is what power plant should i use, I have 2 345 c.i. motors that are strong, and a strong 350 c.i. I was also told that the Caddy 505 c.i. are a great motor to use, any sugestions?

Have herd the Cady conversion is a nice engine, but I am kinda parshal to keeping IH in IH, so what about building a IH-392? Could do some sick stuff with it if you are building it from the ground up. Just my own opinion.

345 would be plenty of motor, good bottom end, bolt right in and they are paid for!
Just get your gearing right for those big tires...
