Howdy,
I just purchased a 1980 International Scout with the turbo diesel (which runs great) :) , 4-speed manual, D300. I plan to relocate the entire engine, drivetrain, and axles over to a CJ-7 Jeep (scout body is rusted away).
The second gear in the transmission grinds. Is it difficult to open up the transmission and replace the synchros? I ordered them, hopefully they will be the right ones (book was somewhat unclear, but it said International and T-19).
Where can I find parts like an oil filter, and clutch (figure I should replace clutch while I have the transmission and engine out)? :confused:
A third thing, does Haynes or Chilton make a scout manual?
