I just got a '77 , the P.O. overheated motor after waterpump shaft broke,still runs but appears to be "burning" water,I have access to repair manuals but any input is welcome. I would like to get this back on the road as I commute 100 + miles a day and would apreciate the 20+mpg. Thanks Jon.

If you have a Diesel Scout, that is where you should be. All the help in the world is there.

John, thanks for the info looks like a great forum. There's also a story on the travel channel about a guy who uses his 1980 diesel traveler with vegtable oil. Stop by the casino and haul the old french fry oil for free...
