    I just got a '77 , the P.O. overheated motor after waterpump shaft broke,still runs but appears to be "burning" water,I have access to repair manuals but any input is welcome. I would like to get this back on the road as I commute 100 + miles a day and would apreciate the 20+mpg. Thanks Jon.
    70 1300 4x4 Travelette,"Clifford",'75 200 1ton 4x4 w/service bed , '74 ScoutII,36x14.50 swampers ,AKA:Rusty ,SOA,RS,D44/D608hole/narrowed,divorced NP202,6 point cage to frame,'"79 SII(Wifes)SOA,304 , 4sp., 37" ProComps, 8000lb.       John, thanks for the info looks like a great forum. The engine seems to be fine the waterpump is toast and radiator needs patched.Jon.

        There's also a story on the travel channel about a guy who uses his 1980 diesel traveler with vegtable oil. Stop by the casino and haul the old french fry oil for free...

            No but you do spend a large amount of money on fuel each month...
