  • Ecm 1227747 Abdt ?

Is the ABDT ecm OK for the custom chip for a V-8 IH ?

Somewhere I read that a 1227747 from a 4cyl would need a netres chip also changed to use with a V-8 chip?

Although the 6cyl would be OK for a V-8 ?
It just doesn't seem to make sense...

    ABDT is not the ECM

ABDT is the calibration of the chip in the ECM not the ECM. The ECM can be used you just would not use that chip with a V-8. I am assuming without looking it up that this is a 6 cyl. chip.

I understand that the ABDT is the classification of the chip but there was a thread a while back concerning 4 cylinder 1227747 ECM needed another (netres) chip? Along with the programmable chip. Is there any truth to that?
