It is the knock ESC- electronic spark control. Your knock sensor is hooked up to it. it provides the timing retard when the sensor detects pinging.
See bottom of page 5 of the pin-out diagrams.
The EST is on pg 6 of the diagrams. The sensor on the top left of your picture.

my guess would be either EGR or VSS

the one on the top left is the spark control that goes in the HEI distributor, the one on the far right is the MAP sensor, bottom left is as BIll said the electrical part of the knock sensor and the far bottom right is the actual knock sensor so by process of elimination all that is left is the VSS and EFG and since the bottom one has all those vacume ports on it my guess would be EGR.

        Hope this is right

          Not quite.
          but good try.
The bottom right is the EGR solenoid.
The round one above it is the IAC Idle air control, which is screwed into the TB
The one in the middle is the TPS-throttle position sensor.
And the top right is the MAP sensor.

There is no VSS, knock sensor or temp sensor there.

and the TPS is the late model TPS and has a different plug than the early model TPS.

          Good tries though.
It took me a long time to get them straight.

            Old Style TPS

And this would be the old style TPS which mounts on the throttle body.

That one is the straight up design which may interfere with some air cleaners.
I like the 90* that sticks out the side.
Just something to look for while you guys are at the bone yard.

                Don't worry about TPS type

Don't worry about TPS type when you guys are doing your conversions. I can sell you a harness with either connector or a little pigtail harness to convertone or the other.
