Lost Bushings

Bill or anyone else:

I lost the 2 green bushing that go on the Mech advance while converting to Ford D/S. I intend t to use the D/S set up for now untill I get ready to inject. Anybody know where to get new bushings or is there a field expedient that can be used.

Al,

Before I found out that IH dealers still may have the bushings, I made some from a section of brass bushing sleeve that I got from a local (old time) carb & starter rebuilder. All I had to do was open up the inner diameter just a tad, file two sides flat, and cut to length.

They've been in the disty for several months and are working out fine.

Still trying to figure out how to post pics. Don't know if they'll show up.

Thanks Paul. I am going to check with the local IH dealer tomorrow and if no luck start looking for some brass.
