  • How to identify injectors

I have read somewhere that to identify injectors there is a sequence of numbers on them. Does the color of the wire connectors mean anything? I see no numbers on mine, but both have been in the sun. Or do they need to be removed (be loose) from the injector pod to see the numbers? I hope I have 350 inj's but will settle for 305's for now as my 800 has a 304. Any ideas?

Thanks guys for all the answers so far.

Wire color has nothing to do with it.
There is paint on the top of the inj when they are new, but the wire connector usually wears it off.
Here is the numbers on the flat part on top. If you clean them up good you should be able to read them with out pulling them out.
The number is lazer etched on the top.

    4.3 yel/blu (5235203 *RPD)
    5.0 grn/wht ( 5279 *RPD) 40 lb/hr
    5.7 org/blk ( 5206 *RPD) 55
    7.4 red/blu ( 5231 *RPD) 90
    7.4 blu/blk (1708430 *RPD) 80

there is also some 5.7 cop car inj, yel/brn 65lb, but I don't have the number.

I think the 5231 was also used as a single on the fiero.

I have the number for the Cop Car injectors but I would have to take off the air cleaner on Notacop to look.
There's also a web page with some numbers and even pictures at:

So am I the only one that diy-efi.org hasn't been coming up for? I haven't been able to get that site to come up for a couple weeks now.

I tried to just post the link but I could not get any of the DIY-EFI links to work.
I haven't gotten anything from the email list either.
            It's been about a month.

That would be a great loss! They have done so much in chip programming...
