  • 65 Scout 80 4X4: brake hold down kits/parts

Hi, I am new to IH, so I hope I will be forgiven some basic questions. I have tried to find answers in numerous places and in archives but nothing so far. I figured that someone on this list would have the information I need.

I am rebuilding the brakes (drums, shoes, cylinders, etc..), the only parts I cannot locate are hold down kits. I can obtain the screw assembly but not the assortment of springs, pins and clips. Does anyone know of a source? Are there swaps from others makes that might be more readily available.

    All assistance greatly appreciated.

Dig through the link below and see if the info you need is there. If not our local CQ has not one computer in it and keeps all the old books/catalogs so I bet I dig it up for ya if needed.

    Good luck!!!

Binderman, thanks for the information. I will follow it up. In the meantime, I cleaned and rehabilitated some of the old parts and may get by for a while (also found some useful pieces in a bin of NOS parts for 1970's Broncos).
